Competition prizes
The winning entries of the Plus new writers award will be published in the June 2009 issue of Plus and read by an international audience of over a hundred thousand.
The winners will also receive an iPod Nano, a yearly subscription to the journal Nature, and a selection of signed popular maths books by some of today's best science writers. Runners-up will also receive a collection of books.
Plus would like to thank the journal Nature and the Maths, Stats and Operational Research Network, a Subject Centre of the Higher Education Academy, for donating prizes to the competition.
